"The Key To IPO Success"

What an idiot I am! If I'd just invested in that stock, I'd be a millionaire today."

Sound familiar? How many times have you said that? If the answer is something like "100," you're not alone.  Headlines are full of stories about explosive IPOs that hit the Board at $15 per share and then skyrocketed the same day to $50 plus. In every case, investors walked away with small fortunes. Why not you?

Getting in on IPOs and riding the surge that propels them skyward, and jumping off when the stock has hit its opening peak is a lot easier  than most investment pros would have you believe. You just need the Key. But how and where do I find it!

The answer is right here. In this program Steven M. Samblis gives you the road map to winning the IPO game. Steve, who trained over 200,000 people on how to buy IPOs in live seminars across the US hands you the key that unlocks the mysteries of the IPO market.

Thousands have paid $1800.00 each for Steve’s 8 hour Stock Market Mastery seminar. During this full day... people said over and over again that the most important part… the biggest gift they walked away with was the hour Steve spent on IPOs. So we took that live recorded hour and compressed it into the guts, the heart, and more importantly the road map to making money with IPOs.

The result is this program. In less than nine minutes Steve will give you the road map to picking the hottest stocks on the market today!

Listen to it once and you’ll get it. Listen it several times and you could become a IPO genius. There are no mysteries to the IPO market. If you know what to look for and when to move... you can make money like others around you. This program gives you the key to IPO market success.

Reflecting on a Successful Year and Planning for the Next
  printer friendly version
By: Cheli Cerra

For nine months, your classroom has been an extended family with a community of individuals who live, play, work and learn together.

As a family, there are times that our patience is exhausted and pushed to the breaking point. These are the times that we must dig deep into our soul and revisit the reasons why we chose to become educators – to touch lives, make a difference, and see that “aha” moment in the eyes of our students.

The end of the school year has finally arrived. And just when you think the last ounce of energy and motivation has been exhausted, you manage to recharge and have a burst of energy and creativity that will carry you through to a successful ending.

Let’s reflect…

Are you pleased with what you’ve accomplished with your students this year? How are their lives better as a result of your teachings? Have you left a little piece of your wisdom with them? What are you doing for yourself to recharge, energize and grow as a professional? Perhaps a self evaluation to gauge your growth in the classroom is equally as important as the report card given to your students.

Take time to assess the achievement of goals you set at the beginning of the school year and set goals for the next year accordingly. Some points to consider:

  • What made the biggest difference in your effectiveness as a teacher?
  • What instrumental techniques have you used most often or not enough?
  • What works best? What works least?
  • How have your communication skills improved with students, parents, coworkers and administrators?
  • What do you need to work on and fine tune for next year?
  • How can you enhance classroom participation from all students?
  • Do you use a variety of techniques in lesson delivery?
  • Have you given frequent, early, positive feedback to increase your students’ confidence level?
  • Did you assign tasks that are neither too easy nor too difficult to ensure opportunities for success?
  • Was the atmosphere in your classroom positive and open to new ideas and change?
  • What advice did you offer to help relieve the anxiety of test taking?
  • What strategies can you use to increase test scores? Do you use a variety of assessment tools?
  • Are you incorporating parent assistance?
  • Did you set high expectations for classroom performance?
  • Are your students taking away skills that can be applied to real life situations?

These are just some of the questions that you can ask yourself to positively end this year and begin plans for an even better one next year. Wishing you a successful school closing, a restful summer, and an upcoming year full of wonderful surprises and “aha” moments for you and your students.

The Saga - Writing and Publishing Your First Book
printer friendly version
by: Cheli Cerra

The Saga continues. Last month’s cliff hanger was – Then the phone rang and my best friend said to me….

There I was, less than 72 hours before my New York trip, furiously making the final edits to the ever-changing book proposal. It was becoming more like a living document. Perfection is my forte and this book proposal would not be different.

My husband had at last relented and given in to the fact that I was going to write. He was slowly becoming my biggest advocate, motivator and cheerleader – silently, of course. Out there in the big world he was my champion!

And then the phone call that would make me reconsider –

I was sitting in front of the computer, finally satisfied. The results of seemingly hundreds of hours of editing showed. I sat back and smiled, and then the phone rang. I didn’t answer it because when you live with two teenagers, the phone is never for you. “MOM, the phone,” shouted my daughter. I walked over and picked it up. “Cheli, I heard you are going to New York to sell your book - why?”

“Why?” I thought. This was one of my close friends, a colleague, another school principal who understood the motivation for writing a book – to help others achieve their own personal best and success. And here she was giving me a hard time, trying to make me feel guilty, and being negative. Her ‘what if’ was getting longer and longer. What if I bombed, what if no publisher was interested, what if … she wanted to spare me the grief and humiliation and she was going on and on and on…..

Panic overtook me. “Oh no!” I thought maybe I shouldn’t do this, maybe I should just stop before ….before what? I hung up the phone and sat in my chair with tears streaming down my face. I had worked so hard - harder even than going to graduate school. Hard in the fact that not only did I give it my intellectual all, but emotionally I had given it everything that I had. My family meant so much to me, and they had been lukewarm to say the least about my writing project. Finally they had understood, and now my trusted friend and colleague had drained me emotionally and eroded my self-confidence. But as they say, we are the ones who give permission to others to make us feel insecure. I thought of all the people who at the eleventh hour had persevered, and I would not let them down. I wiped my tears and stopped feeling sorry for myself. I was going to New York - no matter what - and I would acquire a literary agent!

The flight was uneventful, and I now found myself nervously standing outside the door of the agent’s office. What happened next …

Stay tuned for the continuation of the saga in June.

Points to consider :

Are you venturing out to do something new and exciting, but you discover that your family and friends are less than enthusiastic?

Make a list on a sheet of paper detailing the reasons why you want to write. On the other side write down what would happen if you didn’t pursue your dream.

Until next month,

Cheli
